Aloha Friday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. Every Friday (well, ok, almost every Friday) I ask a simple question for you to answer--nothing that requires a lengthy response.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores is sponsoring a contest encouraging people to make useful crafts and donate them to charity.   Unfortunately you have to use products from Jo-Ann's and I don't have one near me, but I love the idea.   So, IF you were to enter what would you make and what charity would you give it to?   And, have you ever made something to help a charity before?

PS:  If you want to enter and need ideas, or just like the idea of doing crafts for charity, Deb's Crafts has a list of charities who are accepting hand-sewn or needlecrafted items.  Don't knit or sew or anything like that?  You can donate crafts to be sold to help the Gulf Coast clean-up or to help the victims of the Flood in Pakistan (if your in Europe).

If you have a blog and would like to post your own question you can leave your link at An Island Life.

  1. What a neat idea! I have no clue what I would make - usually my creativity shows up when I'm browsing stores like Jo-Ann's for ideas. ;) I might have to make the drive out there to see what inspires me! :)

  4. That's a great idea.

I'm so not crafty so I have no idea what I'd make. I'd google ideas for myself and make something from a tutorial.
