Aloha Friday

I'm attempting to earn some money for Mercy Corps by selling some stuff through Ebay Giving Works.  How's it going?  Well, I've got one bid on a Star Wars Lego video game I'm selling, one watcher on some matching 12 mo and 5T boys clothes, but no bids or watchers yet on the matching 4T/5T sweaters, Gymboree shortalls, or  Sleep Deprived Parent T-shirts.  Though so far this is better than I've done with the adds I tried to sell here, and the fund raising page I created.  I mean, at least I've got one thing that will sell for sure!

Anyways, today is Aloha Friday, where I ask a question for you to answer in the comments.  So I'm wondering....

Have you ever tried to earn money for a charity?  What did you do, and how well did it go?

    When my Mother passed away we had money sent to the Cancer center for charity in lue of flowers.

    in school we did.
    and when i worked in a bar, we sold the paper pumpkins for childhood cancer research...
    loved that one, i raised like $800 alone!

    I often do fundraisers for charity with school and other things. Getting the word out is the biggest hurdle. Good luck!

    I raised money once for Katrina with my frind whos family all lived down there.. It was so long ago I dont even remember what or how we did it.
